    Stasis SS Coil Over question.

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have a set of Stasis SS coil overs that I am installing this saturday.

Now, I don't want to do and undo the suspension repeatedly to get the correct ride height.

I'm looking for a settled height of 24.5" to 25".

Can anyone give me the measurements of where they're perches are to achieve those heights?

And of course any helpful hints that aren't found in Martini's DIY and Stasis's instructions would be great!

    A different question.

They are supposed to be rebound adjustable, but I can't find where the adjustment is made?

Re: Stasis SS Coil Over question.

You should see that in the instructions that come with the kit. They are adjustable through the shock itself, i.e. the is no "dial" on it. It's something like: contract shock, twist the shaft, then uncontract. You can't adjust once they're isntalled.

For height, I had originally had the kit installed as setup from Stasis (yes there is a "preset"). Once settled, I was at like 24,5" in the back and 25" in the front = bad. I had the garage compress the rear springs and adjust the back to get 25 1/8". Anyway, I can't go higher than that, I would use too little "rings" in the back. It looks pretty good like that.
For fine adjustment I had them measure while I was sitting in the driver's seat. Otherwise, with the exact same perch heights on both sides the driver's side was higher from the ground. With the "pilot" in the car the heights are identical ;-)

To adjust the rebound, push the piston all the way down and turn it with an allen key in position until you feel it engage. Clockwise is harder, counter clockwise is softer.
