Re: DIY How to check Cam Lobe Wear?

you have to take out the fuel pump, and visually inspect the cup that touches the lobe, and the lobe itself. My cup was bad while my lobe was ok.

To check the lobe have someone spin the motor manually and touch the lobe and check for irregularities.
    -Unitronics Stage 2+ ECU/TCU tune.
    -EI AL CAI.
    -Driver Mod.

    Hey Mike,

If there is Cam Lobe Wear, would that cause RPM fluctuations in the mid RPM range while accelerating (with APR Software)?

Re: DIY How to check Cam Lobe Wear?

That would be lots of fun, but I would get a new cam for that. Plus prepare for wheel spin & hop from hell you need to get motor mounts and a tranny mount to combat this ( know from experience ).

Ps. You need a B7 specific turbo kit.

Well, if you are going big turbo forget about the Gt28, Gt30 is the way to go along with internals.
