Yo Josh, you're local to me. Let's see how that ER kit fairs up to my year-old 71R Elim. I need to know if that beta kit being offered to me is gonna be worth it!

Shawn, I wasn't going, but a few of my local crew are taking their B6 S4's out so I may go. I hate putting that kind of miles on the car. It's maybe 6-7 hours for me.

If its in the engine bay and looks like clutter, it can most likely be removed Here's my engine bay, compare it to the one pictured here

When the elim kit was first installed it felt fast but truely this kit is much faster even with the conservative software settings I have now. I can't wait to throw a little more timing at it.

All you need is a screwdriver unless you've still got all those one-time-use POS clamps. I'd love to see the pile of hoses when Shawn's done with a car. I really want to do this, but have no idea about that whole system even after reading all of Shawn's and all those guy's posts on it.... I was confused when they started getting in to what does what. I just want to know what to get rid of, lol.
I'd love to burn my suction jet pump in a big unused-hose-n-gasolinefire. I've replaced that leaky-ass thing like 3 times already.

There kind of is. But it gets real in depth as they all agreed and disagreed about what could be removed safely.
Plus, if Shawn writes it up like that, then no one needs him, lol.

A DIY would be tough. Everyone has their own version of what should get removed and what should stay. Mine is written up on a bentley schematic and differs a whole lot..

its not really as difficult as everyone makes it seem. if you're any good at those puzzles where you follow the line from one end to the other you're set.

basically start at the TIP, then follow all the lines around the engine bay... if it's PCV, SAI, or EVAP related - take it out. if it's a sensor, leave it plugged in and simply ziptie it up somewhere out of the way...

then start your car, if it idles like shit you have a boost/vac leak -- look over it and try again. if you've plugged and removed properly you'd never know you took anything out...

took me an afternoon to get 90% of the way through it, the rest will just stay off my new engine..
