No photoshop. Here's a different pic taken a few weeks earlier...




The wheels are 19x8.5" OZ Vella IIIs. ET 35 all around running 235/35/19 General Exclaim UHP tires.

The grill is not Caractere. If you look closely, the mesh openings are slightly larger (they match the mesh of the fog light grill covers).

The center grilles I got from EYE4SPEED (Silver USP w/ deep dish pictured above). He got them from LLTek.com. The hood grill is from UBERHAUS. LLTek also offers a lower grill for the B6 S4 using the same mesh.

I could have used the S4 frame and done some customization, but I decided to cut out the USP lower grill (keeping the frame) and mounting the mesh to that frame. I had the frame painted black. I also had to have a support bar behind the hood grill and 3 support bars behind the lower grill painted black in order to blend in (I'm running DSMIC and not FMIC).

To me, it's the best match I've seen to go with the USP fog light grilles. I'm really happy how it all turned out.

Great pictures, paul. Hope you guys had lots of fun. We made it to the local VW show here last weekend. I don't have any pics, but it was a blast. I got my dsmic installed a few weekends ago, and I'm loving it. Next up, that KO4 upgrade we talked about.

what do you used to clean your engine bay?

First, I did a simple spray down with the water hose to knock off the loose dirt and gunk. After that, I used Simple Green to spray throughout the bay. Let it soak for a few minutes (since it is concentrated), and then went after things with a brush. Did another spray down to wash out everything. The engine then was left to dry for the rest of the day while I went on to polish and wax the car.

After completing the external detail, I went back into the engine bay and use Adam's In&Out spray over everything. Finally, I went back over the rain tray/battery cover and side engine cover with a light application of Black Wow. When I arrived at the show, I did another application of the In&Out spray to get what you see in the picture.

The DSMIC is a real power saver in warmer weather. You'll have an absolute blast with that K04.
