First you'll need to determine if the scratch can be removed first. Take your index finger, or any finger at that...run your finger nail across the scratch. If your finger nail catches on the scratch, it more than likely will not be able to be removed by polishing. Depending on how much clear coat is present, it may be wetsanded, then polished out, but there is a risk of burning through the paint.
