i lived in vermont for four years before colorado and the same thing was happening with sport suspension.
I've had to do the same thing only my rear wheel well liners are still there but I have a feeling they will disappear this coming winter.
I ripped off my belly pan last winter. I also ripped off half the undercarriage guards (the ones on the passenger side that cover our fuel lines). I have to fix them for I really like how the bellypan keeps the engine clean. esp with my new engine coming.
I run the stock 17" Avant wheels with snow tires in the winter. Gotta be diligent on cleaning the wheels and wheelwells. If the snow builds up in there (over night) then you're screwed. In addition to my snow brush, I carry a small piece of wood that fits between my B5 S4 calipers and wheels to keep my wheels clean. Otherwise they vibrate like crazy due to snow build-up.
And to think I want to go with coil-overs over my stock '02 sport suspension.
Guess my thoughts are I can raise the car in the winter and lower it in the summer.
