10mm spacers installed now rear wheels wabble

So I just installed my 10mm ecs spacers in the rear and now im getting some wheel wabble. I thought maybe I didnt have them tight since i snugged the lugs then lowered the car and tightend them while the car was on the ground so I loosened them and used and Impact instead of just a socket and breaker bar. Still experiancing the same thing. Funny thing is I took it out on the interstate up to 85 mph and I get no vibration or noise. 'I'm stumped. Maybe I need hub centric rings? My wheels Already have a gruve for the hub. Any ideas?

well, are they made for your car? pretty simple to know if you would need hub-centric rings, are they the right bore.. might just be you needing a wheel balance.

They are bb5 LM reps so im pretty sure they are made for the car. They never used to wabble when I had them on before I put the 10mm spacers on

What kind of spacers are they?
My guess is they are not aligned properly on the wheel.

I had the same problem with my set of 20mm ecs spacers, the inner bore on the spacer was not deep enough for my hub, it would not sit all the way back against the hub, only like 2cm off. Thus not allowing the spacer to sit right flush, and wobbled hardcore.

Ive yet to send them back, but I have talked to ECS abought the problem, they said take pics and send them back and they will take care of it. Just make sure you have the same problem before contacting them.

Can anyone confirm that audi rear hub Lip?(correct term) is longer then VW. Because they are ment for bouth audi/vw 5x100/5x112. So if audi is longer, then that makes sence.

I have the same problem with my H&R spacers... I didn't get the hub centric ones... But it is a pain to do... Start by putting in all 5 lug bolts, slowly tighten them all around by hand... Wiggle the wheel around while tightening by hand... Don't tighten any of them too much... But this will eventually get the wheel fairly centered and THEN you can torque... ALWAYS USE A TORQUE WRENCH!

I got 16mm ones from BFI. They said they'd fit. I had to get out the grinder and take off about 1mm off the *center* of the hub for the spacer to slide all the way up against the face of the hub. It added about 45 mins to me putting the spacers on but made them work. I'd assume the audi's are different because you don't hear the dubbers complaining.... and they would. For the OP, check and make sure the spacer fits ALL the way up against the hub all the way around. Then re-mount the wheels carefully as stated above.

That is exatly what im talking about, Although I only took a dremel to it, but the dremel was not strong enough to remove enough metal, So I stoped, and re-orderd H&R ones, they fit perfect.
