Excessive heat and orange looking coolant

Drove up and around Rockville this weekend with my buddy for a retarded "ricer" gtg. After an hours worth of driving, I parked my car away from the civics, rsx's, celicas and some sti's and evos.

I walked around for about 30 minutes and came back to my car. I leaned against the right side of my car and it felt unusually hot, almost scolding. I felt around the entire hood and everywhere else was either cool or warming-cool. Touched the left side of my car and it was the same result, almost scolding hot. Question is, are my stock ICs suppose to be that hot even after a 30-45 min cooldown?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Second question. If my coolant isn't that reddish color and more of an orange color, is it best to drain and replace the coolant?

Also...when I'm running the AC, is there suppose to be a weird gurgling/hissing noise that emits from the upper end (close to windshield) of the engine? And if I'm running the AC, is there suppose to be a large amount of water that drips to the ground? I know that it causes condensation but a puddle size?

Re: Excessive heat and orange looking coolant

Not sure about the question about scolding hot part of car. I guess if you've been driving it hard it would cause it to be hot and take longer to cool down.

About coolant, mine is orangeish red. So I wouldn't worry about that.

My air is making that hissing noise too. I dont know for sure but I think that its a sign that its getting low on freon. I know mine is at least. Its not blowing ice cold like it should and is going to get a charge here pretty quick.

About the condensation, yes that is totally normal. The more humid out the more water that will drip. No worries there.

Bump for question about the ridiculously hot I/C. I wasn't driving it hard today and its still friggin hot after sitting in the garage for two hours. What the deal?

Thats the general area I was leaning against. I was at the corner of the right bumper. I could literally feel the heat billowing out from the tire well. I literally sat there for a good minute or two and my entire ass was hot...to the point where I told my buddy in a joking manner "My ass is flammingly hot!"
