Was wondering who, if anyone at all has a roof rack setup that is capable of supporting a kayak? I believe that audi has a setup for this but not sure if its for the a4. I have a b6. What would I need to purchase to hook this up properly? Any pics, or recommendations??? Thanks in advance.

You will need the base carrier bars and a kayak holder. i believe you can get them from the dealer. or you could run a Yakima for much cheaper.

What boat do you have. That will determine which is the best kayak cradle to go with. I would go Yakima with one of thier cradle systems. Mako Saddles & Hully Rollers are the best setup for touring boats.

I've carried white-water kayaks on my Avant.

Yakima feet and load bars. I then used two tie-down straps to hold the ww kayak on my car. 80mph, no problems.
