What size tires should I run on 18by8 and 18 by 9 wheels?

06 A4 quattro and how wide can I go with the tires for the front and rear.

Can't make recommendations for staggered fitments, but 245/40R18 is as wide as we recommend all the way around.

Thanks Doc I know I am walking on thin ice here but even though the rear is 9 inches could I run the size you mentioned all around?

245 width works pretty well on both those sizes. At least it did for mustangs.

9" wheel will be fine for a 245.

That size has a rim width range from 8" to 9.5", so should be no problem.
