I just bought a 2004 s4 and want to put cat back exhaust on it. I have been looking at milltek and awe and as of now i am going with the awe because of the price. Are there any other good companies?
I want something that is pretty loud, but something that has a very deep and throaty sound?

AWE is probably one of the deepest sounding exhausts out there. Milltek has a real nice euro sound and the resonated version is prety quiet with absolutely no drone. Fast intentions has a higher pitch and can be a little raspy. If you want something deep go with the AWE.

They have not posted the B7 yet because they are still working on backorders! I have one and love it. Give them a call and tell them you want it and they'll put you on the wait list. Last I heard, it was about a week out to get one.

Sorry for going off topic. The OP was asking about B6 S4 exhausts. You can check out you tube for video clips of most of the exhausts. You can then decide which one you like best.

i just ordered fast intentions exhaust that is going to be made to order for me. Its a res cat back system with a x pipe and small 8inch res.

I have Milltek Catback and the sound is pure and quiet. If you are into loud, LaBree, Fast Intentions both are pretty loud. I have not heard an AWE live.

I think it's a 60/40 split with 60% people choosing non-res and 40% choosing res. The B7 is only available in res for now. Non-res will be available later. Personally, I wanted res because I did not want a car that is obnoxiously loud. I just wanted a noticable growl at take-off and at open throttle. My B7 AWE sounds perfect, much more aggressive growl.

That's pretty much what I'm looking for also. I don't want to be screaming down my street with everyone pissed off at me. Looks like when the funds are right, it's AWE for me also

I'm in the process of a major overhaul on our website. Adding new products, taking down old ones and making new sections every day. Our B7 S4 exhaust isn't on the website yet but is on my list of things to put up soon.

All important dyno sheet for our Resonated (Touring) system.

This system produces peak gains of 11.1 wheel hp and 11.6 wheel tq. Using a 1.28 correction factor, this results in an impressive gain of 14.2 crank hp and 14.9 crank tq.


When combined with our S4 Downpipes the results are even more impressive
