new to forum.. a couple questions

hi, i just moved from a b6 a4 to a b7. Overall i like the b7 a lot better, mostly due to it being optioned better. I do miss the feel of the non-hydraulic clutch and the steering didn't feel quite as light. I used the search function and found most of my answers except a few.

1. I had a set of tein springs on my last a4 and loved them. Is there any available for an 06 s-line FWD? I checked their site and didn't see anything.

2. I ordered a set of vvme.com HID's. The last pair i had were from vision bulbs with no issues. I have read some people having problems with flickering, etc. Any explanation on why and how to fix the problem if it arises would be great. They should be in this week.

1. theres tein springs made for the fwd 2.0T..call danny at six auto works and tell him eric send ya..he'll hook you up

2. the flickering is due to quality of the HID not your B7

Phenomenal garage! Does he have a "daily" or just alternate between those? The GT3 RS and F430 Scuderia are two of the greatest sports cars ever made, can't even believe he has (will have) both of them! The Miura looks great. Any pics of the finished Dino?

Thanks for the quick replies. Hopefully the lights will work fine once installed. One more question. On my b6, i straight piped through the rear resonators which made the perfect exhaust note for my taste. I would rather do a real exhaust system this time. Are there any that have similar characteristics?

Regarding why I'm asking you guys mechanical questions when i restored the dino with my dad.. its only a hobby of both of ours and we just finished our first restore. Im almost an expert on Dino's, but im sure the majority of you have a much better knowledge of Audi's than I do. My dads daily driver is a tundra. I'll update when i install the lights and see how they work.

WOW! As far as I can tell, that restoration looks immaculate, and the pics are top-notch too! I'm in San Diego at least twice a year, and it really is one of my favorite cities. Damnnn, I might have to come look at those cars! Depending on the volume you want, AWE makes a killer exhaust, as does Stasis. Milltek is too quiet for most, and Britalman (or ANY of them with a testpipe) get to be pretty aggressive and loud.

Installed the lights a couple days ago.. it was a little more tough than my b6 since i didn't remove the headlights. I got the 8k bulbs and they are considerably brighter than my visionbulbs 8k lights. Very little glare at night also. Luckily they didn't flicker and no dash lights showed up.

I ordered lamin-x yellow headlight coverings but now realize its going to turn my lights a weird color. If anyone wants to get a set for cheap let me know. It comes with the fogs too.
