Looks great -- did you use resistors to keep from getting a bulb out warning on the dash? If so, what kind of resistors did you use and do you have any tips on installing them? Thanks!

thanks guys for the comments! I used a 15-25 ohm deluxe aluminum resistor. It's a pretty tricky install....

I just received and installed the 14.5 volt LED's from 42 Draft Designs without any problems. They already have resistors built in the bulbs. 5$/each plus shipping. Sorry, didnt mean to jack your thread.

I think that's a little photoshopping. take 2 pics of the car, hood open, hood closed (be sure to use a tripod!) and photochop them together. looks sweet

I got some Xenons on the way. I dont think they'll be THAT bright but I hope they're as white. lookin good!

To answer a few questions..... the picture with the engine showing is a photoshop (i've always wanted to have a picture like that)

On to the LED's: I ordered the LED's from 42DD and they did not work. They do not have built in resistors. The resistors needed for the application get above 100 F and if they were in the bulb, they would melt the housings. Maybe they have changed their bulbs and put a few buck drivers on there, but i would still imagine that it wouldn't work with newer model b7's with DIS (comfort control module)

For the xenon bulbs, be careful! I was running those and they started to melt the upper part of the housings (where the prongs of the bulb-holder touch to get current)

I use to live in TX, but I'm in Nova Scotia temporarily. My vehicle is still registered in TX, because my official address is there....
