Le Mans in WI

I just got back with friends from Road America in Wisconsin. There was a Suzuki Clubhead (i think thats the right name)... Anyways, Ninja was first in 600 class :))) Two Gsxr's 1000 were first in their class... Pretty cool...
And i got a brochure with all the things going on out there and found out that there will be an American Series of Le Mans in August, i think on 3rd or 4th... Pretty cool i would say :)))
BTW, next week there is a Stunt Riders day
And on July 4th'w week there is an American Bike Championship.

I dont work for the track, I used work for some of the teams that race in the series.

and yes, anyone can go and see the race, walk the paddock and meet drivers and people. that is one of the core Ideals of the ALMS (American LeMans Series)

saturday should be the best day to meet people/ drivers, but the race is on sunday I believe. so take your pick, or do both.

Road America is a world class racing circuit. and the best track food in the country. hands down.

you can walk right up behind pit lane and watch pitstops.. and walk past the teams transports and service tents. the fans are what makes the series. come and watch.

I will be there regardless.

I'll be there for ALMS! I have gone 5 of the past 7 years and it's always a good time. I'll be there with my S4. I'm actually thinking about bringing the 42' trailer with the S4 in the back and the golf kart and a pair of Yamaha Zumas. I don't know if I'll come for the whole weekend or just Sunday. Let's see what kind of crew we can round up. I'll probably come with at least 4-5 guys with either Audis, Porsches or VWs. As it get closer to August, let's plan out a spot to meet up for the drive in or we can just meet at the Audi corral there. Hope to see many of you there.

You can drive for 30 mins on the track but there are a limited number of groups and sessions. Speed is limited and no passing in turns but I like to go slow on the straights and then haul ass in to the turns.
I would bring a F350 to pull the trailer with my car, golf cart and two Zumas (49cc Scooters that all the pit crews use). RA is a big track and it sucks to walk around but having the Zumas is great and I've often cruised right into PIT row because they thought we were with crews, LOL.

I'm going to RA for the Lemans. August 9, I got paddock access and credentials. I live in plymouth, 5 miles away from Road America, so it's a nice easy commute.

I'd say Saturday in Plymouth. We can meet at a local restaurant/hotel plaza. Alot of racers stay there and if anyone wants some breakfast a coffee shop is connected to the restaurant. It's off of highway 57. About 7 miles from Elkhart Lake. So we can get there in a jiffy if need be. Also if anyone plans on staying over night, Elkhart Lake has the Ostoff, but it gets hella packed, so The Americ Inn might be in store, located in plymouth.

the ALMS race is saturday. Im not sure if that is the "main Event" or not but its definitely what i want to see. Im in for a meet in Plymouth on Saturday morning. Someone just needs to set a time, then we can move forward from there.
