When this fault appears the suspension won't adjust up and down, but functions fine at whatever level it's at.
The whole system works fine most of the time.
Anyone won this fight before and can tell me how to narrow down the issue? Could it be as easy as a dodgy connection?
That error code indicates that the harness that feeds the level control pressure sensor has an intermitent short on it's 12V positive wire.
The pressure sensor is crammed into a cavity underneath the car where the strut control valves and pressure accumulator also reside.
The cavity is just above the rear sway bars at the center of the floor pan. The strut valves and the level control pressure sensor have a single harness. It has a 10 pins and pin #10 at the underside is the 12V+ wire (green w/red). This wire comes from the control module for the suspension system which is in the sidewall of the driver's side trunk area. The module has two harnesses, one is a 18pin and the other is a much larger 48pin. You would want to check the wiring from pin #10 under the car to pin #1 at the 18pin harness on the main control module in the trunk lining.
If you want, I can send you a PDF of the wiring schematic and the diagrams of the harnesses at each end.
