Some are saying 27k others more than 32k for the base model 2.0T?? However that would make the 3.2 in the 40's...

Who is saying that a base model 2.0t(that would be with 6 MT and no quattro) would be $32k? It is currently only $25,930. I doubt Audi will feel comfortable adding more that $500 to that price as the A3 is supposed to be that entry point for young people to get into the brand. It has always been the hope that those people would then move onto an A4/A6 for their next vehicle.

The dollar has been awfully weak and Audi makes little profit(relatively) on the A3. We should see prices soon though, the new order guides have been out for a while now.

I disagree, I forsee a considerable price increase. Now standard is Leather, Trip computer, leather steering wheel, and sirius radio. While packages will probably go down in price, the increase in standard equipment will bring up the base price a bit, I think at the end of the day when you put typical equipment (Prem or S-line and Open sky) your price will be not much more than what is currently offered. The base price I think will start some threads where people will be crying over the increase at first, but then the rest should make it almost a wash. I think it may be a few more weeks at least until we see pricing as the first cars are probably being produced right now or early next week, so we are two months away from deliveries on the west coast, about 1.5 months on the east coast.
