Exhaust questions.

For starters, I like my quiet stock exhaust and I never plan on getting a full system for the A4. This is my DD and I enjoy the loud droning exhaust in my DSM. That being said, I dont think I would like even just a muffler on the stock exhaust system, but I would like just a little tone under acceleration, kinda like a stock 350Z sounds. Would eliminating that huge resonator in front of the gas tank and leaving the stock muffler give me what Im looking for? Also what size is the stock piping?

Oh and Im not looking for a real power increase, just a little tone under accel.

yea removing that resonator should give you that tone, and i believe the stock piping is like 2.125 or something along those lines

i'm getting a test pipe and i was listening to some sound clips on youtube. it might be the sound you are looking for. i like the way the 350z sounds as well, its not to loud but you can tell its there.
