Well most off you know of my engine build so maybe you might have some insight as to what is wrong. When i turn on the car and start to drive the car sounds like an old turbo diesel benz. However the car goes into boost fine and is not smoking or showing any performance problems. Also the noise can only be heard when the hood is closed but once it is opened it is hard to hear but i think it is conming from the back of the motor and sounds like a clanking noise. audi said that the cam chain could be bad. but when i lifterd the valve cover and tried to move the chain it had a normal amount of play.
