Quick question

This is kind of stupid but I've never had to jump my car until last night.

I was wondering if the ESP light should be on after I jump it? It turns off after about 15 seconds but still, just wondering. I never saw my friends ESP light go on when I jumped his.

i think it shouldnt, but im not sure... it should go away after you erase it.

That's not a normal occurrence but my car's acted up before in a similar fashion as well after resetting the battery. Once you turn the car off and back on again, however, the ESP light should remain off.

it happens, no worries. every once in awhile when reconnecting my battery after doing work on my car that'd happen. it always goes off and then no worries.

now it's always on... but that's cuz i don't have a MAF. (and for some reason my oil pressure light is on too.... wonder if it has something to do with that hole in my block?)

My stupid battery won't even hold a charge now. I have to get a new one. Ugh.

Definitely happened to me. I have had to unhook my battery on several occasions, and the ESP light stays on for less than a minute and then turns off. It never turns on again unless I turn it on. The first time it scared the shit out of me...
