    034 Mounts (diff/tranny/engine/snub)

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hi guys.
My Rs4 is showing too much drivetrain slop, and when upshifting hard i can feel the rear diff moving back and forth badly..so i need new mounts all around.
    (i already have a DTS).

    - DIFF:
    ------http://www.034motorsport.com/product_info.php?products_id=1214
    ------http://www.034motorsport.com/product_info.php?products_id=14054 (are they really needed?)

    - Tranny and engine
i'm tempted by the track density, but i don't want the car feeling like a vibrator because it's a DD and not a track days car.
    What do you suggest me?
How are street density mounts compared to Rs4 stock mounts?

    - Snub:
    Snub+bracket

Please tell me what do you think about it, any suggestion is really appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Andrea

    Re: 034 Mounts (diff/tranny/engine/snub)

I had stock RS4 mounts and broke them and went with 034 street mounts.. I had to call them to make sure they were not the track ones.. They are solid and I can feel everything now through the steering wheel..

The track ones must feel like solid metal mounts...

I could not be happier with the 034 track mounts though..

    Re: 034 Mounts (diff/tranny/engine/snub)

I have the track density, its really not all that bad. I've been told that its not the track mounts that increased the vibration the most for me it was the 034 Snub Mount and bracket. It makes the car feel new again the way it will handle and shift. I recommend the track. I DONT ever track my car, baby the hell out of it. I mean Ive been in a car with street density and it seemed slightly smoother but idk, its just preference. to me i like feeling the car a little more, and I daily drive mine as well.

Was the car with street density you've been in as firm as yours on the street?
    thanks

    Re: 034 Mounts (diff/tranny/engine/snub)

get the apikol rear mount, track density tranny mounts, and motor mounts.

i have had all of them, and the motorsport mounts are the ones that are a gamble. otherwise street or track, its just OEM+ (thicker, slightly stiffer filler).
they shook on my car, but not on my friends.

trust me, it will be fine. they will help and you wont feel a thing (unpleasant vibrations/ noise).

    Re: 034 Mounts (diff/tranny/engine/snub)

    1. Do the DTS polyurethane mount upgrade. I found out that it does work for the ASP stabilizer bar as well. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Trust me, it helps a lot and is the best $50 upgrade you will ever do.

    2. Get the 034 street density tranny and motor mounts (go with the track if you don't mind some extra vibration). I personally have street density and they have been fine but they DO add a little vibration.

    3. Get the 034 snub mount with bracket.

If you want to go all out, get the rear diff mount but that will also increase the vibration transmitted into the cabin

    Re: 034 Mounts (diff/tranny/engine/snub)

Do you think i would stop the back and forth movement of my rear diff by changing the mount with a brand new STOCK one?

    Thanks

I didnt know anyone sold solid motorsport style mounts other than ASP? the motorsport mounts at 034 are for the older model audis

    Re: 034 Mounts (diff/tranny/engine/snub)

Issam@034 suggested me to go with street density motor mounts and track density tranny mounts.
Do you agree? Nobody with this set-up?

Please keep in mind i already have a DTS (and i'm going to upgrade it with the poly mount).

it was tough to tell because his car had the JHM tranny rebuild kit haha... but i would say yes track is slightly stiffer on the street....... the back and forth movement of the shifter would be cured with with rear diff mount as people have already mentioned in the thread. im plan on doing that soon as well

Street density all the way around, track density might be a little too harsh. If you're not tracking the car or doing hard launches, track density mounts will be overkill and bring extra vibration. Or if you're upgrading your DTS mount, I would do the street density tranny mounts and track density motor mounts plus snub mount.

what you are doing is safe. but i have had them all, and i prefer track for street and tranny mounts. (in fact i like the motorsport tranny mounts even more, but they might be too much for you).

also dont forget the APIKOL rear diff mount, and sunb mount. all these parts along w the DTS will help tons.

dont worry so much, in the end, they are just mounts, if you dont like them, you can swap them out and re-sell them no prob.

    Re: 034 Mounts (diff/tranny/engine/snub)

I've decided to go with Street Density all around, Snub Mount and Apikol diff mount.

I'm too frightened from vibrations to buy track density mounts.....

    Thank you all

LOL. dont be such a whoosy. if you're car is in good condition you shouldnt have any vibrations. and if you do have any, it wont be annoying or noticeable.
the vibrations are NOT going to be race-car-like.

it will just be slightly stiffer is all. at least do track tranny mounts, trust me!!! iv had them all, and these are the way to go.

Until sometime next week.If you (or anyone else) wants to purchase them @ 75US/engine mount and 50US/transmission mount then Send me a PM to arrange payment and I WILL honour the price.
After June 15th the mounts will go up to 95 and 65 respectively.
Starts to get expensive when you consider all 4 mounts....

Issam, the mounts went up already as of June 6, correct? That was apparently when the cutoff was to be mandated...

The Install was pretty simple to me...

I have been recieving alot of PM's from you guys about the price increase in the 034 mounts effective June 15th.

As promised if you place your order with me (send me a pm) before 12.00 on June 15th I will honour the old price of 75US/engine mount and 50US/transmission mount but you must PM me.

After June 15th I will enforce the new price with no exceptions,no group buys...nothing.
