A4 to RS4

Hi guys, i have an 02 a4 avant and love that the older rs4's came in avant stylings so i had a couple questions: Are the newer ones avants and if so are they stateside? I had heard from a friend that the avant was only released in Europa. Also, is there anything coming up on the horizon i should wait for. Besides recession (which we are already in actually) and job loss? Sorry, i mean new designs, interiors, etc. I come from a Mac background hence my paranoia to purchase something only to have something sexier, faster, sexier, more power, sexier come out months later. Also, i have read throughout the forums but how do some of you guys like your cars as daily drivers? I am assuming same if not more than i do.

No rs4 avants here in USA, only in Europe. But there are s4 avants though.

I can't tell you how many times I've said I wish the RS4 Avant would come to the US...

Love my S4 Avant though...it'd be completely different from your A4 - and it's till an Avant.

Im in Eagle Rock SoCalS4Avant, I met a guy with a red V8 avant at a burger place off of Colorado a couple months back. Anyway, I had posted a 'history of versions" sort of post on the A4 side of the forums asking what the differences were in the B6 models (i know no b6 rs4) and learned a bit about the differences of the s4 to the rs4. I now should figure out what the main differences were between each 'B' series for both cars besides the body style, like what made the b6 s4 different from the b7 s4 or the upgrades or differences between the different years for rs4s and rs6s. I heart my black on black wagon to the fullest but it being a 3.0 there isn't much i can do except supercharge it and that seems like a whole game of trouble. 2 people had blown their engines after they purchased a certain s/c :(. And! with gas being so F*ING cheap who doesn't want 12 miles to the gallon? raise your hand too man, smarts here smarts. I think after owning my a4 for a couple of years i have loved it to death ala Of Mice and Men like so i am just seeing what else is out there... what is it that makes the s line and rs line so sensual? When i see one driving down the road I get happy for the person driving that little wagon because i know how special it is... Oh yeah, not the 's-line' version of the s-line (the a4 with the badges that make some people think it has an engine of an s4). Thanks again you two for your help anything anyone wants to add please do. I would love more information and yes, the search function is broken... kidding. I have read through many articles and threads about the rs4 and 6 and watched top gear and all that business but this thread was for getting the most recent information from people that drive the cars everyday.
