Alright so I been lurking for a while, but I never post. I've had my B6 S4 for a while, and the other day I made a horrible mistake.
The other day it was snowy, and I did a U-turn, and took it a bit too fast, and drifted into the center.. uh curb. Obviously it sounded loud, and yeah I was pissed. (wtf Quattro??) My front left tire hit the curb pretty hard (the bumper didnt hit the curb), the right tire got on too, and to make a hazerdous situation less hazard I drove off slowly and pulled right into the gas station. Flat tire, bent rim, checked underneath nothing was leaking; just the plate was really banged up, and the dripping of the air conditioning to the right of the right cat (view from behind/above). So I changed the tire, all was fine.. I don't think I messed up the suspesion or anything, pretty much the car felt fine. The next day I got check engine light.
So I popped the hood, everything looked and sounded fine, checked underneath, and the only thing that looks like it could have hit or scraped was the cats, and it doesn't look like they got banged up. So the noise I heard was all the tire (might have hit the tire well?) and the protection underneath the car.
I press 'check' and Oil Pressure, Coolant, and turning signal come on. They've always come on, I've told Audi about it, they say "It's supposed to say that" I tell them no it doesn't but they refuse to fix it..
CLIFFNOTES: Hit curb, bumper didnt hit, front left tire hit pretty hard (10-15 mph?) Underneath only the protection plate was hurt, and maybe the cats were scraped, but don't seem in bad condition/busted. Check Engine light came on next day. All seems, feels, looks fine from my view.
What could it be?
I haven't gone over a speed bump to see if the suspension is f*cked, but I have gone through the gutter's and it seems fine. The car honestly drives fine, steering is aligned despite the different tire.
I'll be taking it to the Audi probably Wednesday when I get time.
