One rumor I've heard is that it'll come in MY10 when the S5 switches to the 3.0 supercharged V6 that's also being used in the B8 S4. Take this rumor with a grain of salt.

Porsche is utilizing the new 7 Speed Dual Clutch in there 2009 models.
We should see it really soon.

My dealer said it wont be in the S5 until the 2010 my (August) as a 2010.5 model. Damn! Well I guess I'm going with the 6-speed slushbox with paddles then. Hum... is that a bad decision? I will be living in So Cal but with very limited commuting. I just want something a little more manageable... I like the paddles it just isn't a DSG! I have until Friday to change my mind.

Audi has said the new Tiptronic is faster shifting than the current version. I don't see how it will be as fast as the DSG trans. If it were me it would be too hard to wait another year for it.
