Post I'm ready for the criticism

I'm currently in Iraq (again)...and this is the first time I've found a computer that will actually let me log into the site. The past couple of months all I have been doing is reading and researching; so here's the scoop. I've got an '03 1.8 qm back home and this is what I'm planning on doing when I get back. The kicker is I'm going to be doing it all at once. Eurocode is going to be doing most of the work. I just wanted opinions on the parts I'm going to be used. From what I gather on here and elsewhere these are all tried and proven mods with little to no maintenance issues afterwards which is always a plus. I already have vag-com from my b5 if problems should arise...well here's the parts
E-code GTRS turbo kit will tune and everything
    550cc injectors
    Evolution Racing Comp FMIC
    APR snub
    APR exhaust
    Southbend clutch and fly
    Neuspeed shifter
    Carbonio Intake
    H&R coils
    RS4 engine mounts
    Stoptech BBK
    AWE boost guage
and probably the full caractere kit (the cleanest looking out there imo).
E-code guestimated labor around 2 grand (this is quite a bit of work).
Almost everythign will be bought through them anyways.
Sooo...what do you guys think ok setup or not. I think I've done quite a bit of researching on this if I'm wrong let me know. That's why I'm posting this.

I dont know about all those super fancy parts you are putting on as i have a 3.0, kidding. Just wanted to say the guys and lady at Eurocode ARE AWESOME and super cool to talk to as well as work with. "I am a eurocode robot making a e-commercial for a business.....", Seriously, they RULE as people to work with on even the smallest of orders and when i met them at the so cal euro it was finally good to put faces to names :).

Yeah, the people over there just through email alone seem great. Jeremy has been able to answer all of my questions that I've had and sent me an estimate. Great guy.

Sorry to hear that you had to go back to Iraq for a second time but I thank you for serving our country none the less. Here are my only comments on the parts listed.
-You don't need the Carbonio. It looks good but save the cash.
-I would get the Podi instead of the AWE boost guage. There is nothing wrong with the AWE I am just a fan of the Podi.
-Instead of the Neuspeed shifter I would go with the JHM solid shifter. I don't have personal experience as you can tell I have a TIP but from what I have read they are the best out right now.
-You are also going to want a test pipe with the exhaust as well as a TIP(turbo inlet pipe). You will need the Nuespeed Extreme TIP. Unless this comes with the GTRS kit.

Other than that everything else looks good and boy are you gonna be driving a different car out when they are done.

Don't forget a new DV or BOV... I have the Forge 007 and is a quality product, I'll second the podi with the VEI gauge single or multi, the new stepper motor one looks sweet too.. Good luck over in the sand box and stay safe.. You're going to have a whole new love for your car when you get back

    +1 to all of that

also, go with 034 motor mounts rather than the RS4 ones. cheaper and better.

Thanks for the opinions, i appreciate it. On the shifter and Podi; do you know who carries these? The test pipe comes with the kit and as for a tip...I was originally going with AWE's GT kit which came with one but your right; I'll need to get one if I go with this kit.

So, I checked out the Podi. Not a big fan of the steering column mount; I had it on the B5 but the stepper motor guage is real nice.

x2 I had both in my car and the JHM is much better. Don't forget to add the linkage upgrade as well.

Yeah, I saw that when I pulled up the shifter on their site; didn't know if it would be worth it or not thanks for the input.

Re: I'm ready for the criticism

JHM ftw. definitely get the linkage and stabilizer stuff too.

034 solid mounts ftw. nuff said

don't get the APR exhaust, they crack - and are very overpriced. personally i recommend custom w/custom DP/TP... but if you want a pre-fab thermal R&D is a good choice. Most people are happy with Neuspeed too.

other than that you've pretty much got hte makings of a great setup

oh, and get atleast an OFE SS when you get the clutch. I just ordered my FE SS from DTH... my AWE stg. 3 just isn't cutting it with my GTRS... Even after a prolonged period of easy driving after the minimum break in I've still spun the clutch clear through 1st 2nd and 3rd from a roll... and it's 100 degrees out where i live, so i'm only boosting 22 with less timing. (as opposed to 24 with lots of timing when it's nice and cold )
