    Re: Twin disc setup

I am getting ready to buy one. i know that the twin disk from asp is going to be on and off style because of the diskes are have sold hubs and no springs and they are ceramic. i know from experiance with all the other clutches i have had. i just know that it is the only way to go for big turbos and alot of clutch cycles. they can handle alot of heat, the hotter they get the harder they bite. plus i trust tilton alot. what is your thoughts on it.

I spoke to JP from vag on the phone the other day, and he said that he liked his clutch masters ceramic twin. He said that he has had some problems with the kevalar holding up with the big turbo set up.

Yeah, you guys want to post prices for the ones that you are thinking about? I looked for a sec at the clutchmasters and it was like $1800-1900 IIRC

    Re: Twin disc setup

I have now custom made flywheel and AP-Racing twin disc sintered clutch, 950 Nm. Price was ~2600$.

This has integrated pulse teeths, not like in the Clutchmasters or others. Those will definitely stay there, I have heard that the pulse ring might sometimes take off. It is also made from steel, that should help in chattering, and it is also stronger than aluminium.

Not installed yet, so I can't tell how does it feel.

Did check to see if the dps extra 02 sensor i put in is in the right spot now since the dps have been modified? If not cap it off and have him do another one for you.. Hope to see it up and running soon, as for mine I finally started playing with the motor, hopefully have it back together in 7-10 days.
