check torque on spark plugs. If they are popping up, there's some blow by meaning they are not tight enough.

    Re: coil pack bolt downs?

sometimes if you force the cp down too fast it catches air and doesn't create a good suction. Instead it creates an air pocket and causes the cp to come up. I bought my bolt down cp's from 034 motorsports. I have been running with Beru bolt downs for some time now with zero problems. Forget getting the latest revision. Get something more solid!

Your solution would simply hinder the occurrence of a symptom of another problem... Fix the original problem and you won't have to bolt down the cp's.

Good advice! A word of caution.... The issue may not be a loose plug. More than once I have replaced plugs that leaked around the seal between the insulator and thread body. Obviously if you try fixing this issue by tightening the plug the problem will remain and you will risk stripping the head. First check to see if the plug is loose. If it feels reasonable tight remove the plug and examine the interface between the ceramic insulator and the metal threaded body. A slight leak there will cause the coil packs to pop up. If you see any signs of blow-by replace the plug.

    Cheers!

    Re: coil pack bolt downs?

The plugs are pretty much good for one time use anyways...

Once the washer has been crushed it does not like to seal well after that.

Plugs are cheap, replacing a head is not...I suggest you just replace all four plugs and torque them to spec (plus a little bit more)

true oldguy (and others), i will check and replace the plugs. not a whole lot of blow by because there isnt alot of oil residue all over the top white part of the plugs, but looks like there was a little and since i have tripled my boost pressure i am sure this is the culprit.
