    Europlate ticket

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
The states finest motorcycle cop decided to give me a ticket yesterday.

I can't count how many times I've droven past Clackamas County and city cops and never have even been pulled over for it, including Washington, etc.

Wondering if I should just pay it and keep it on.

    Re: Europlate ticket

Im up to 6 europlate tickets. None of them stay on your record. just take a picture with your real plate on and send it to the court. They will dismiss it with a 10 dollar court fee.

    Re: Europlate ticket

They have been cracking down on this lately :( I have gotten pulled over 4 times in the last week in my Q7, and my wife even got pulled over with her cab. That was the 1st time she had been pulled over in 10 years.

They are indeed fix it tickets, but note cities like Tigard are keeping them on file, and not actually dissmissing them, only not imposing a fine. So they will be seen by other officers when you get pulled over next time

    Re: Europlate ticket

you HAVE to display your oregon/washington front plate on the OUTSIDE of your car. You cant put it on your dash (a lot of people dont know that). Europlates just stick out like a sore thumb to a cop, and when they see it they will look for your state plate too.

    Re: Europlate ticket

I had a guy blow across traffic and smoke a Uee to come and get me in my '83 GTI with no front plate. Guy was a complete Dick. Had front plate in car, said I was on my way to the body shop and the body shop guy forgot to put the front plate back on. I offered to put the plate on right there. He said no. It was a motorcycle cop in Renton. A friend who is WSP said the guy was a real Dick too!

sign, no front plate here and no tickets yet, but I do work in tigard so it sounds like it might just be a matter of time. Reason for front? ..... so the redlight cameras can cite you ... what a joke

Looking to purchase a euro car that I can learn to work on, and eventually take to the track for recreation days. What is a good car to start with?
