    problem with my brakes

    yesterday i smelt a burning smell from my car nd behold it was from my brakes...my rotors were starting to turn blue nd my pads were turning white from burning...all of this on my rear left wheel...wat can this be my brake line or my caliper???

    Sounds like the caliper is ceasing up.. Happened to me and waited too long and had to buy a new one

    agreed. look for a used one and rebuild or go to NAPA. they have them for like $200+core rebuilt. just went through similar situation, but mine wasn't so bad. i luckily found 2 used rotors that had like 30k miles on them, which is fine by me cause they'll only be temporary.

    Also,make sure your rotor is warped. if you're not sure, take the rotor to a machine shop and have them measure the run-off. if it's waaayyyy bad, they might not be able to machine the rotor back to spec. in which case, you'll need to buy new rotors.

    until all that is done, try to drive easy and not slam on your brakes too bad.

    yea its my calipers i bought a rebuilt...my rotor nd pads were fine luckily

    i know this thread has been dead for about 5 months but this same thing is happening to me.. i found this http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...QA1192758.html ... they are cheaper i have ordered rear calipers from them before and are great quality
