5k Service at HBL of tysons

worst service ive ever seen (however the repair center bays were the cleanest ive ever seen). I went in for a routine 5k maintenance, and notified the guy that my window wasnt "one touch" rolling up properly. He instantly threw the warranty flag because of my tint, (rediculous). They took the car in, and sure enough gave me a loaner in the meantime. The loaner they tried to give me wasnt an Audi, wasnt even close, they tried to give me a @!#$^ Chevy Silverado?!???? I was pissed that i had to settle for a @$#!^% jetta. I finally get a call 5 hours later that my car is ready, they had replaced the window regulator under warranty, problem wasnt fixed. Window has same issue @ 5k miles, they drove my car for 4 miles... to where? why do you need to drive my car for 4 miles to fail-fix a window? AND they had to rip open the door panel and slice the speaker wire to do it. I was never contacted for permission to attempt to fix anything and i surely wouldnt have given it to them. Im not even sure if they changed the oil properly.

Worst service ever for a company selling the audi image.

To add insult to injury, they vaccuum out the car and leave a snotty tissue on my back seat.

Next time, give me an audi loaner, give me proper service, and for gods sake CALL SOMEONE BEFORE YOU RIP OPEN THEIR CAR.

was greg your service advisor? he's a tool. we had it out and they red flagged by car for a tp, voiding my entire warranty (how does that work??). And yes, they use enterprise rent a car service, they don't have audi loaners, which is the dumbest thing i've ever heard of. I've gotten stuck with a g6, a mazda 3, and once they tried to give me an aveo. I said no thanks, i'm not driving out of here in something I could buy 4 times to equal the price of the car you're working on. if they weren't the only close dealer to me, i'd never return there. rockville isn't much further, but you get shit stolen off or out of your ride from that place

HBL of tysons DOES have audi loaners, ive seen it on the road. a White A4 that says HBL of Tysons on it.

I think they differentiate or only use that one for R8 owners then?

In regards to the service department kicking my ass? They better learn to do remedial tasks right. And if i ever get a snotty tissue in my backseat again, im going to make the manager eat it, literally, with a fork and salt (ill hold on to the knife....).

Ive also heard this place has been reported to AoA several times already and are on thin ice. The only i took it there is because i know at least one employee there is on the boards (rumor) and works in the service department.

You guys should feel lucky you get any loaners. The dealer near me will give you a ride and that's it.

Both Audi dealers I've gone to always give me a loaner. Even if it's for a couple hours. I've gottan a manual A3, Auto A4, Auto A3, A3 with DSG and a Manual Quattro TT Convertable.

i was just there today and they gave me an a3. I was pissed because they told me the cold start problem i was having is normal and in the owners manual?

BTW dont go to rockville, they are even worse in my opinion. i dropped them after they were being arrogant assholes

I also bring my car in to HBL for service. Their loaner system is definitely a joke and last time they gave me a Chevy HHR... definitely lame. The only positive is that the enterprise employee is much more friendly than the Audi employees. I have had pretty good luck with getting my car serviced however one time I did ask them to check out why I was losing windshield washer fluid. They said they fixed the problem however I had to bring the car back in because of the same problem a few weeks later... Greg told me that the tech who worked on my car the first time was bad and no longer worked there and he would put his best tech to work on my car. The problem was fixed after that... Oh yeah, and the last two times I have brought my car in I asked them to rotate my tires. I'm not really sure how the rotation is supposed to go, but the fronts were still on the front and the rears on the rear... I couldn't tell if they were switched from left to right, but I'm assuming they never rotated my tires.

Oh yeah... Since this thread has gotten all of the D.C. area guys together, do any of you go to any meets or autocrosses in the area? I saw that they have autocrosses at Fedex field and was thinking about going sometime... I was also planning on going to H20 in the fall... Maybe we can all get together for a drive sometime as well?

like i said, greg is a tool. there is a tyson's meet across from olive garden on 7 every wed night, and every other wed night is the schnell meet off rockville pike. other than that, if you check the regional forums on vortex, there are tons of city local g2gs every week
