Anyone ever have trouble deciding between grey or black A4?

Damn I'm ready to get one and keep flip flopping between the two colors. I'm definitely installing a body kit, full tint, etc. I always thought black cars look mean, but hot damn some of the grey ones are looking sick as well.

Just curious if anyone else had the same scenario...why did you choose the color you did?

I got a dolphin gray. I really wanted the bright silver but I got a deal on mine.

I don't like the all black A4s at all I think the black hides the lines.

haha i wanted the dolphin grey...but i got a good deal on my silver B6

Go with the silver my man, stays nice and clean and looks really good washed/waxed as do most cars but there was something about that color that gets me...Black cars deff look good, but after owning one (a black B6 actually) ill never buy another black one, but thats just me

I have a 2005 USP 6 speed black on black.

I love the way you can see every body line on the white A4's. Black is impossible to keep clean.

I wanted the dolphin gray but got a deal on my silver as well. Going from black to silver was a huge change, but I like the silver a lot now. I still want another black vehicle though.

Black on black here.
I had a set list of colors and options I wanted in a B6. I also had a price and mileage range I wanted to stay in. I looked with in about a 200 mile radius for a couple months before we got our B6. and didn't want to settle on one without the stuff we wanted for a certain price.

The top of my list of colors was Light Silver. From there my wife and I were undecided as to what color we wanted next (Dolphin, White, Red or Black..the rest of the colors were out). Also we wanted the aluminm trim (no wood or painted) and a black interior.

I had 2 Silver cars slip away before I could get them and actually went to look at one at a auto brokerage about 80 miles away only to find out it had sold earlier in the day; then I saw my car sitting there.

IMO if it were between the colors you are looking into (Dolphin or Black) and the modifications you want to do; I'd choose Black.

I owned one black car and swore I would never own another one. Impossible to keep clean. But I think they look nice, when they are clean that is.

My friend has a black B5 A4, and it looks awesomely aggressive. lowered, tint, euro plate, smoked lenses. I think I like the black B5 more than a black B6 though.

DG here. Someone in my family has owned a vehicle of pretty much every color you could imagine. 3 colors I will never do again; black, white and light blue. Black is too hard to car for, a lot of whites discolor over time no matter how hard you try, and, well, light blue is self-explanatory.

Great responses. Thanks! Yea I had a Black Infinity G35 ('04) and it didn't bother me with keeping it clean. It looked mean and sexy as hell. I also have a Mean Navy Blue Metallic Camaro SS that is awesome (in terms of color). I've seen a couple of the dark blue A4's and thought there were pretty cool.

Crazy...when I think I finally made a decision on a color I see the other color or a pic of it and the swirl of confusion starts all over again...ahh the spinning!!! LOL

nope my dilema was between a dolphin USP and a tornado red USP. I went with the dolphin. I still love the red though.

Black looks killer when its clean, trouble is, its never clean. Black and silver were the 2 colors i had to choose from, and i couldnt decide either... the silver car i looked at ended up being junk =(. the black one was in great shape, and the seller was willing to deal...

all i can say now is too bad the gray one wasnt black, and the black one gray.

if you like washing daily, then black is for you

if you like a color that wont show dirt... go gray or silver... as it gets dirty, it just appears less glossy from a distance.

My last car I wanted Black and I ended up getting green because of the price, It's now a year later and I got rid of the green car because I was un-happy that I didn't go black. So this time around I made sure it was Black or nothing, I had like two days that I wanted silver but I kept telling myself I will regret it. I now happily own a Black B6 and I love everything about it. Also make sure you get the the interior color you want, my buddy hates himself for not getting black.

Go for black, nothing looks better. I live in Florida where it rains almost everyday and my car is always clean. It all depends on your cleaning schedule and how well you do it.

black always looks better, but is a B*** for up keep. Go with grey, its good enough.

I dont have a garage to park my black/black a4 and as a result its 100% guaranteed to look awful 3 days after a wash.

I have DG, and I wash my car once a week (usually). My cars have always been clean, no matter what color. I had a black Jeep Liberty with the chrome package, talk about a PITA, but it was always clean.

I love Dolphin Gray, hence why I went with DG rather than silver or white. I am obsessive when it comes to keeping my belongings clean so black was and never will be an option for me.

Then I got into black cars and I've never gone back. As everyone has already said, it's a pain to keep clean. It's quite obvious when it's dirty but when it's clean, DAMN, it looks like a million bucks.

I ended up with black because i found a pretty good deal on my car. It's a PITA to clean and i probably won't get black for my next car because it's so hard to keep clean but it does look damn sexy after a fresh wash!

I work nights. It takes me 30 minutes to wash my car, if that. Every 2-3 weeks (depending on the rain) I wax it.

I got that new wax from Turtle Wax: Ice. We'll see how that goes.
