    That's a TREADSTONE Fmic ;)

I think you mounted it a little bit too high!

    However, good job!

yeah it's a custom fmic with treadstone core and endtanks.. i originially mounted it lower but the bumper didn't fit all that well...so now it's higher and the bumper fits better but the brackets could still be pushed back an inch or to so the bumper fits like it should.

good work luis, now go respray the grill please.

Seeing as you had to mount it higher that you probably wanted to, would you go with the horizontal slits if you had to do it again?

Looks good man. If you move its back a few inches will it clear up enough room to drop it down more? Do you have any pics without the bumper on?

i've been working on repainting the grill but function > fashion right now ftw.

and no, i like the vertical because "both" intercoolers are getting the same air flow .. i didn't want the ebay core because the top core is behind the bumper and i imagine it's not getting good airflow....

when i move it back im gonna try to lower it some, but i might have to redo the bottom connections to the intercooler to move the pipes up a little so they won't bump into the bottom of the bumper..im just glad everything is working right for now.

not hating but the same amount of your core is hidden by the bumper as is the ebay core. it doesnt make a difference "which intercooler" gets the cooler air because they all mix together at the throttle body before entering...... lets see some logs! =) clean install. but like others have said, it looks a bit too high. maybe it'd be better with an rs4 bumper?

it's not the same amount covered .. the ebay one is covering an entire intercooler, only about 2.5 inches of the top of mine isbeing covered and when i can lower it it'll be a little less amount of "covered" intercooler.

id like to see how low you can mount it, i might go this route (treadstone) do you have installation pictures, and what pipe kit you used?
and which core did you go with? i was looking through treadstone's website and could only find 2-1 intercoolers.

Re: my fmic mounted and plumbed.

i bought josh's s4tt's old piping kit.. and all i'd say is to get endtanks that are smaller.. thats the reason mine is mounted high.. the sides if the entanks go so far down that they push the bumper. if i mount it too low.

Re: my fmic mounted and plumbed.

this is what it looked like when i mounted it lower.. but you can see that it deforms the bumper at the bottom.. my laptop recently died so i lost all the pics of the mounting and plumbing
