well you give a damn if you want to know don't you big guy? you seem to be in a happy mood all the time, I was in a hurry yesterday and didn't give any info. But its basically not an R8 fighter or anything like that, its not intended to do anything like that, its not an M1 and its not a mid engine platform like everyone is saying, Its built on a Z8 chassis, If you look at the cars rear end how the fuck would you fit an engine there? I cant say a whole lot, but all the stuff on it will be released on Tuesday and it will honestly blow your mind. Its one of the wildest things I have ever seen and no other company has ever really done something like this.

Released about 2 hours ago..like I said "what its made out of.." its a super futuristic material, no hinges, headlights close like eyelids, headrest come out of nothing, everything opens and closes like a banana peel. The fabric never wrinkles apparently, and it unreal strong. Even if you dont care for the design (im not a roadster guy..), the concept is still fucking awesome!

i think its funny that its called the GINA, and with the "hood" open in that one pic, it just looks very vagina-like to me.

It is so funny how most people can't just say, wow that is a pretty crazy concept and give the idea any credit. A skin instead of a heavy metel shell. A skin that can actually move to improve the aerodynamics of a car. If this were an Audi I would say it was a pretty unique concept, but it is all too funny to watch you guys hate. Audi has its sights set so hard on BMW that I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with a similar concept next year. Laugh my ass off.

No, it's a stupid idea. I can replace the fender on my Audi for less than $200. replacing the Gina skin would be outrageous. There's no way the material will stand up under realistic driving enviroments.

I'm sure the car would command a premium price if, by some miracle, they ever tried to market it for sale. And as such, most people would probably only drive it every so often. Thus making the need for maintenance or repair a rare thing compared to that of a daily driver.

This car is never going to be made, it was made to stir up ideas in designers heads and to throw out some wild futuristic ideas.

and if you actually read the article, you would understand how unreal strong the fabric is.

Edit: gina by the way is an acronym its like geometric ideas N (like x an infinite number) and I forgot what the "A" means..

Yea, in the release, they said it was never really intended to be a production car (as Tons of prototypes aren't really intended, just made to draw attention to the company and show people how innovative the company is). I do think this is a cool concept car, b/c it's the first one I've ever seen that goes beyond just curvy lines and some drive by wire system. The goal of the car was to make it seem as human as possibly, aka the skin effect. And although I'm a loaner on this one, I do think it looks pretty cool. In the video it can even change some of the actual body lines just by moving parts underneath.
