Ok, so far Ive got a Greddy FMIC and a Heat shield from 00black1.8t that I am preparing to install next week. I was looking for anyone with a similar setup to see what size cone I should be running, the inlet size of the intake, and any other general suggestions that anyone may have so that I am not running to get parts without a bumper in the middle of the install(done it before). Pics are always welcomed!

SWEET!! Its installed, with no problems.. Took about an hr max, the heat shield K&N filter combo is defn worth it. Faster turbo spool, virtually no lag what so ever and the DV and Turbo are loud as $**$. Spent 90 on the heatshield, and then another 65 on a K&N cone filter. Looking to replace the stock rubber hose going to the turbo with aluminum tubing to reduce air resistance even more, this should be done next week. As far as pics, I will get them up as soon as i find my camera which might take a while (just moved). This project was a great deal, and at 1/2 the price of the other options, next on the list is the FMIC in a couple of days.

Planning on it, but my front end is torn apart while I put on this Greddy FMIC and HID fogs, planning on doing a DIY on the fogs if this all works out correct.

for just the fogs, you don't have to take the bumper off. it's just a few screws, a few tugs on the housings, and a couple twists to get the bulbs out and back in.

So true for the regular bulbs, but you must also find room for the HID ballast and mount them. I have already found my mounting location on the inside of the bumper so that when I take the bumper off in the future its just an unclick of the one OEM plug and its ready to come off. Just did a dry run of the lights with the bumper off and these suckers are bright! Will have pics up as soon as tomorrow taking that everything goes smooth.

    Re: Details Request: Intake mod

Whoever said that lightning would not strike twice is full of $#IT. Thanks to a bolt equipped with a Spline Drive

which is close to the Torx drives, I have been stopped in my tracks. The Greddy FMIC bolts up directly to the bumper which is held by this satanic bolt. Once again I found myself going to autozone without a bumper to identify what this pain in my ass is and how to get it off and once again I have to track down someone with this part. Soo.. Bumper is going back on (with the HID's!!!) but without the FMIC until I find this part on Friday after work tomorrow. Good thing is that I have gotten enough practice in taking this bumper off that I can virtually do it in 5 minutes. Until then I will wax on and wax off until I see the desired results.

PS- A cool thing that I just realized is that without my duel intercoolers in place, I will have ample room to install a true cold air intake. This system would be able to take advantage of the duct that would direct air right into it while being enough up in the bumper that I will not need to worry much about drenching it in rain due to it sitting behind the fog light housing. FUN FUN!!
