wheels vibrate in RAIN?

hello everyone,

Ive noticed ever since i got my 1st set of Iforged wheels they vibrate when i drive my car in the rain, so i sold the 1st set , sold the 2nd set and now im onto the 3rd set. i cant take it anymore, has this happened to anyone else? only when it rains the car start o vibrate left and right. can anyone solve my problem?

no offense...but did you seriously go though 3 sets of wheels without checking the possibility for other problems?

check all your suspension bushings, some may be bad, or possibly a wheel bearing, idk really. just a suggestion

I've heard thats normal with them. The water gets caught in the lips and throws them out of balance.

Correct some of those wheels have a design that "traps" the water within their reverse design and throw them out of balance.

I'm surprise it took you 3 sets of wheels to ask about them.

I've read the same thing a long time ago though so i was hoping this was corrected. Guess not

That is a problem I've heard many times with Forge. The reverse lip design puts that "buldge" you see on the outer lip on the normal design in the middle of the wheel instead causing a channel. This channel spins water and the offset energy will make the wheels feel out of balance. I have Jlines with the reverse lip and do not have this problem. I repeatedly asked the company this before I bought them. Even though physics are physics and water will channel and spin with any reverse lip design, just how much is the question. This is why I didn't go with Forge. Although I have now grown to really like the normal design with the lip on the outer edge of the rim. It is more structurally sound with the normal design, but my reverse lips just look so damn smooth

I have had the same thing happen to me with my stock USP wheels after going through some large puddles on the expressway. The water seemed to spin around like a hamster on an exercise wheel inside the wheel barrels. The next day in the dry, the ride was back to normal.

I think your problem is an inherent design flaw of some iforged wheels. Use the search function as I think this issue was dicussed last year...

Mine don't but mine are on my ML so maybe the weight offsets this.

Same thing with my iforged untill I had them balanced at KMD never had a problem with them since!

i thought it was mayb the 1st car with its hubs etc, but when i slapped these aeros on my new car im like wtf! this one too , so i then realized something is up and i should ask around. im always open for advice

i think you're right but them damn camber kits are so costly.

I know this or fact,
any brand of reverse lip 3 piece wheel will have the same problem when the water gets trapped in the inner barrel, (behind your spokes)
Contact Steve or Peter at Iforged, they have a solution now to solve this problem,

I have had my Iforged Sprints for almost 2 years now and I have not had problem with them in the rain. They are 19x8.5 3pc
