    Re: Rim Offset Question

This is a 245/40-17 on a 17x8 et35 with no spacers. A 245/35-18 on an 18x8 or 18x8.5 should be about the same.

235/45-17 on the same size wheels. They are about 1/2" taller which makes fitment more difficult but the 235 seems to fit well without fender modifications. Different manufacturers will have the same size tire but it may be wider or narrower.

This is one of the 245/40-17 Yokohama Guardex with a 225/50-16 Sumitomo HTR 50Z. Even though the 245 is numerically nearly an inch wider the difference is pretty marginal. I doubt that I could fit a 245 Sumi in there.

    Re: Rim Offset Question

i want them to poke. i want them to poke but not too much cause i want my car to sit low without any rubbing. 35 is a good offset for 8" or 8.5" wide?
