    Car sounds like a TDi after test pipe install?!?

    I had an ER test pipe installed last Friday. Since then, the turbo sounds like a TDi turbo. It still boosts normally, but the vacuum is at ~12 at idle as opposed to ~18 before test pipe install.

    Should I be worried about that TDi sound? If so, what should be checked?

    I also had a Forge Splitter installed at the same time, it sound great! I left it in "hybrid" mode, so no major "BPV" sound, but still sweet!

    I have the same problem but it seems to sound worse at mid range rpms. Best way to describe is it sounds like a weed wacker string hitting a metal pole or wooden fence...high pitched "tat tat tat" until about 5k then it goes away. Any thoughts?

    I had a similar TDi sound coming from my B6 and it ended up being the cam chain tensioner. I'm not trying to scare you guys but it won't hurt to check it out. Especially if it seems to go away at higher RPM's.

    Mine ended up sounding like there was a midget under the hood hitting the firewall with a hammer on a drive through LA traffic. No fun!!!
