We want X cess (5W-40), not X lite (0W-30).

Curious, have you used other than OEM tranny fluid in your S4? I did the 100K mile maintenance on mine (early) and everything I read showed the car needed the "special" synthetic for the tranny. I couldn't find it anywhere but the dealer and it was $75.00 a pint retail.

Is that one of the usual wives' tales?

me personally....no. many members here use redline fluid. Im gonna go with motul....they make some serious fluids!!
