Can someone please explain to me why the break paddle is leveled so much higher than the gas? is it like that in all audis?

    Re: Break Pedal

"leveled higher" by that i meant how it was closer to the driver than the gas pedal. It sounds like im the only one with this problem thus far :[

    Re: Break Pedal

its a BRAKE pedal, and yes its higher than the gas pedal. like you actually have to lift your foot to press it instead of sliding it over.

    Re: Break Pedal

prolly cause of the old "unintended acceleration" problem with older audis, they increased the gap so that pushing both gas and brake at the same time wouldn't be possible, reducing a chance of unintended acceleration

even still you can't hit the brake and gas at the same time. the car goes into a limp mode and slows down, its weird.

    Re: Break Pedal

I have a manual and the gap in height between the brake and the gas is pretty big. It makes heel-toeing pretty much impossible for me.

    Re: Break Pedal

x2...if you change to rs4 pedals it becomes easier to heel toe.

    Re: Break Pedal

Easier, but is it still a pain to do heel toe?

On my old BMW the pedals were placed perfectly for heel toeing. I simply cannot do it in this car. 4th to 3rd yes but 3rd to 2nd is not possible, I end up pressing the brake too hard and then missing the gas still.

If you broke your pedal you probably should fix it.

    Re: Break Pedal

    Braker Braker!

When you depress the brake (yup), it is at/near the pedal level for blips and heel-n-toe. Just learn how to do it.
