Does this sound like a bad n75

REVO stage 1 is turned off. On the highway doing about 80 at 3000 rpm and slowly apply more gas. Boost only went up to 4 psi and stayed there even with full throttle. Let off on the gas for a moment and gave it gas again and boost went to 15 and then fell to 10 or basically normal. Also, occasionally I have also noticed as vacuum goes up to 0 boost tends to jump to 5 psi and then move higher. Seems like the n75 is not behaving. Is there a way to fix it or must one just replace it?

Part number if you have it and where is a cheap place to get one?

    Thanks

Re: Does this sound like a bad n75j

you can use an N75F valve as well, it supports very high HP and comes stock.

i want to see what others say about the your boost issues, i'm having issues with an N75 too.

    clicky
for a purchasing site. i've noticed MJM Autohaus pricing has gone up...the part used to be $90 a couple months ago.

Stock N75 is the one you want to get. No point in getting higher boost spikes.

Well, now I really not sure. I just ran the codes and I have an intermittent MAF - low voltage. Could a bad n75 cause a fault on the MAF?

Unplug the MAF and see if it changes anything. If it runs better replace the MAF. If not this thread may help: Clicky click

Years ago (in the '70's) I owned an R and R shop specializing in British iron (Healeys, Triumphs, MG's, Jags, Metros, etc). Now I'm just a normal working schlep. No I didn't buy the SLK. Ended up buying a new MB C-300 Sport for the wifey, gave the A4 to my son since his car crapped out, and right now I'm stuck with the '03 MB C230 Kompressor. Now that my son is home from college I get to drive the A4 but after a few miles the damn SS pressure plate starts to work on by bum knee so I have to give it back! Anyway, after I gave the A4 to my son I figured I could ween myself off of my AZ addiction. However, getting a more frequent Audi dose seems to have caused a relapse!

Sweet!! (by the way the '67 XKE had a 4.2L straight 6). The C-300 is the perfect car for my wife (she drives about 40K per year). Wouldn't be my first choice, but it is a decent car.
