Just curious what the upcoming intervals are and what the recommended work will be? I did a search and didn't find anything on this.

    TIA.

I wouldn't think you would need to do the timing belt if you did it already at 120k (every 60k). I would just look at what you're suppose to do at 50k and add anything that needs doing or subtract anything that doesn't.

Thanks all. I'm having the TB, WP, etc replaced while also having the coolant leak looked into (probably aux coolant pump or associated hoses).

When you say flush are you including things like the diff fluids?

Also, did I read correctly that the tranny fluid does not need to be replaced for the life of the car. I'm wondering what exactly they mean by "life"?

    Anything else?

AOA decided it was not worth changing the tranny fluid because there where so many problems after they did so. SO they recomend it as being a life long fluid. Are cars have ZF trannys in them, If you read anything about ZF trannys they recommend a tranny fluid change at 60k. On TIP trannys its very easy because we have a fill level that wil begin to pour out once its filled to the correct level. 6speeds dont, So if you dont add enough you coudl cause major damage.

Do you mean both the Auto and Manual are classified as ZF trannies? Mine's a manual. I'll do some searching/reading on them.

So is there a procedure for a fluid change for it anywhere? I don't recall reading one in the DIY's on the various S4 forums.

why would the manual tranny's be much different then the auto's ? I've changed the front tranny fluid on my 6-spd, and there is a fuller hole just like any other transmission, you just top it off until it spews out the filler hole.

A piece of advice for anyone doing their tranny fluids, make sure you get the filler plug off before you drain it.
