how desperate are these dealers with selling their products?

I bought my A4 from Pacific Audi back in '06... I ignored many of their add-ons but im such an idiot for getting suckered into their Car Care Plan... it seemed like a good deal at the time. At that time their Finance Manager was a girl named Lisa. She informed me that with the Car Care plan I would get FREE oil changes (6) and basic maintenance at Pacific Audi and other certified Audi dealerships. Last month i decided to finally use the coupons they sent out for free service... I went to Penske to have the car taken care of (they did a good job), but they did not take the coupons... i called Pacific Audi about this and the current Finance Manager, Rosa, told me that I would get reimbursed by sending the receipt and coupon. I sent the coupon with a receipt for $149 and I get a check for $68 back... where's my $81?

I called them up again very upset and they would not take responsibility for the actions of their representative... they keep defending that the person does not work there anymore.. they keep arguing that I should take my car in to Pacific audi for service... but from the start I informed Lisa at the time that the only reason i would even consider this care package was if i can use a dealership of my choice.

I really want to file some sort of misinformation complaint... its not completely about the money, but rather the fact that I was lied to. so right now, i have about 5 coupons that i wont use... $600 down the drain

    any advice?

go down there and sit the person down and explain to them ur frustration, and if they don't budge here's what u do: i swear this'll work, have the person come up to u in the middle of the showroom and start talking about how they're crooks and stuff with a high tone and they'll then take care of u, because as u yell ur causing them to loose business! i know this isn't the right way to do it, but hell if u were guaranteed something and they aren't standing behind it then u should take action, they won't budge at first because they try to sucker people!

is it called Car Care Plan or Audi Care Plan?
based on this document, http://www.brianharrisaudi.com/documents/AudiCare.pdf, you only need to take your car to an "authorized Audi dealership" to obtain service.
call Audi Customer Care at 1-800-822-2834 and let 'em hear your experience and issues.
    good luck!

how much did you pay for it?
I'd still call Audi Customer Care and BBB.

thats roughly $600... its actually factored into my car payments like $18/mo or so.

right now, I'm waiting on a call from the financial manager before she goes on vacation for a 2 weeks.. then i might take it to BBB and AoA if still not resolved.

I also called warranty company they hired and they told me that the value of the coupon is listed on the coupon in itself... check this out... its one of the series of a few sets of numbers on the coupon but reversed! wow!!! omg!!... why didnt i figure that out? (/sarcasm)
i guess its my fault for not being a cryptologist..

you definitely scared me, since I bought my car new from Pacific. Also, that Lisa girl was the finance person. I did find my Audi Car Plan Agreement paper. So I'm good to go!

Sorry about your situation, and good luck!

Re: Pacific Audi change of heart. (long)

btw, I thought '06 A4's came with the free scheduled maintenance, no?
cuz when I bought an '07 last year, I was told '07s didn't come with it, but '06s did.

    Edit: thought you bought a new A4 in '06, but I guess I misunderstood....you bought a used '04 A4.

All they would have to do is call the cops and have you removed from the premises. You'd look like the bad guy and everyone in the dealership would think you're just some nut case.
I suggest talking to them and if they do not want to budge tell them youre going to picket up and down the public sidewalk in front of their dealership every weekend until they honor their original plan. It makes no difference if the person that sold you the plan works there currently or not. They are responsible/liable for the actions of their past employee. If for some reason the dealership feels this person was selling plans that the dealership did not know about then they can sue the former employee. Im sure this is not the case.

this was exactly what i was saying... i was telling them to man up to their employee since she was representing them as a whole during the transaction. but they are turning my words into a he said, she said.

you need to talk to not just the sales manager, but his/her boss, in person.

I went through something similar @ another dealer when I bought an extended warranty, once i took it in for service they repair was denied coverage. i accused the finance manager of selling me the warranty under false pretense. he said there was nothing he can do then i asked for his boss. (he said the boss was busy on the phone with the bank) ~ i just walked straight to the boss' office then he hungup on his wife and they knew i wasn't fucking around. he said he'll take care of everything and i walked out with a huge ego. that was a good day!

same deal here. I bought my car from Pacific Audi and also got convinced to purchase Car Care Plan while purchasing my car.

Despite the issue of Car Care Plan, I had another issue with them before. I purchased my car in the evening of Saturday, so everything was kinda rushing and I really didn't know well about my car at that time. So I emailed and called the salesman back several times to ask some questions about my car. The salesman started to get irritated and basically just told me to shut up and drive ... don't ask any questions .....

I thought he had a bad day, so I decided to contact him few days later. And ask what!? Few weeks later, Pacific Audi said, he was no longer working there.
