    bent rim repair

I know that this has been asked before, but I have a slightly different variation on the question. I am just looking for a place to fix a slight bend in a BBS RXII and a slightly more serious bend in a second one and then have a set of tires mounted on them. I DONT want the wheels refinished ... I have other ideas for that. Basically, all I am looking for is a place that will fix the bends and mount the tires cheaply and that can be trusted to do the job right. If possible, I would prefer a shop that could do this while I wait and is as close to downtown DC as possible (lack time to make multiple trips). Thanks.

Everyone recommends Ye Olde Wheel Shop in Elkridge. Not that close to DC and I don't know if they can do it while you wait. Supposed to be one of the best though.

I'll let you know what I think next week.

Wheel Worx in Glen Burnie does good work with bends.

You will wait a long time for Ye Olde Wheel Shop. They have a huge backlog and take a while. They do good work, but i have heard it takes a while. Wheel Worx had less than a week for turnaround when i went there.

yeah i got one of my lips re-finished there a couple months ago. they told me a 2 week wait. I called a week later to see if they sold hubcentric rings and my wheel was done.

I don't really know how many places will be able to do it for you while you wait. Ye Old isn't TOO far from DC and they did great work on my wheel...

    Re: bent rim repair

Another recommendation for Ye Olde. They have an express service which costs a bit more, however ,it only takes 3-4 weeks. I used them to correct a factory warp in my Sportec rims.

I dropped mine off before heading out on vacation and it made the wait seem shorter...

    Re: bent rim repair

I have no experience with these people, but I just saw these guys on the lot doing work for Rockville Porsche Audi the last time I had my car in for service... Looks like they do mobile service with a climate controlled service trailer. It seemed like they were doing a number of cars in one trip to the dealer.
