    VVME HID bulbs

Anyone try these for a bulb replacement? They are really cheap @ $12.99/pair. I have their HID kit for my fogs, and one of my headlights (6000K in single xenon ecodes) went out last night and I am thinking about giving them a try. Suggestions?

    Re: VVME HID bulbs

my car didnt come with HIDs so i bought the VVME kit.

I've ran them since november or so without any problems. I also have the 6000k and i'm quite pleased with them

edit: expect AT LEAST 2 weeks + for shipping because they are coming from china.

i thought their "factory" was a P.O. box...

note to OP. they send everything as a "gift" to dodge import tax stuff or something like that...seems shady but i havent heard anything bad from the company...

lol...yea, it is when from China.

i've only seen one incident of someone having customer service issues...but everyone else that has tried them seem to have good results. i just wish they carried a 3000k or 3500k.

My HID kit for my fogs shipped in about a week also. $12.99 for the bulbs isn't surprising considering they charge $35 for a whole HID kit. They gouge you on shipping though, I haven't checked yet but it will probably come out to about $40-$50 for the bulbs shipped.

Since I do not have the VVME kit for my headlights, what bulb do I buy? The H7 HID bulb?

    1. Philips / Osram > cheap glass Chinese bulbs
    2. They don't sell D1S or D2S, so it's useless for all of us that are doing HIDs the right way.

    Re: VVME HID bulbs

I had bad experiences with their "warranty" service. You end up buying parts if something breaks by the time you pay the shipping. The quality of the kit is pretty low too. I was disconnecting a bulb from the ballast harness and the stupid thing's retaining clip broke. I was being really careful with it too.

    Re: VVME HID bulbs

What big money, I paid 280$ for Bi-Xenon housings and less for OE ballasts and genuine Philips 4300K HID bulbs. You can do it cheaper even, by only retrofitting HID projectors into the stock halogen housings.

So I am guessing since they don't sell D2S, then I can't buy bulbs from them right? I have single xenon ecodes and they use D2S bulbs, right?

    Re: VVME HID bulbs

You need D1S, only very early 2002 B6s used the older D2S, everything else is D1S.

    Re: VVME HID bulbs

I was right, single xenon ecodes use D2S bulbs. D1S bulbs have the igniter attached to the base of the bulb and I definitely remembered mine not being that way.

I did say there were early examples of D2S, but for EVERY new housing, for YEARS, it's D1S exclusively.
