The stuff of dreams...and a question.

    I know, I know...this is our A6 forum.

Here's the validation for the post:

My question is: If your radiator cap wasn't holding pressure, popped and all your coolant drained out of the container while you were parking...and the container was just replaced less than a year ago... should you be held liable for the tow charge, the replacement cap, and the labor costs associated for the busted cap?

Or should the dealership bear some of that responsibility for providing you with a defective container? After all, they are the ones that "top off" your fluids every service...

Please let me know if there's some recourse for this.

    Thanks in advance.

I think dealers have 12 month warranty on labor and parts. Don't quote me one that, but I think I have heard that before. Was it actual Audi Dealer work?

On the flip side, I have never heard of that happening to and Audi or VW that I have owned.

Yeah I thought it was 12 months 10k miles, on parts that you purchase and have installed through them.

    OK.

I will bring up that issue with them, and show them my Audi receipt for the container and labor from the previous year.
