    Re: Don't Buy V-maxx Coilovers

You probably should have read more about them before you bought them. You bought a pair of coilovers for about half the price as reegular coilover, what did you expect. I have coilovers and yes they are soft and not stiff by any means, but you get whqat you pay for. I do not bottom out at all and I have mine set pretty low. I do rub on the front once in a great while but I enjoy them for the price. My front did make the slight creek early in the morning when it was still cool out but once they broke in the where good. I enjoy how loow the ride can get and I did it for looks cause I don't race the car. I would have gotten a nice stiffer set up if I was to track the car but I'm not and I didn't feel like paying twice the money. All is fair but do some research on products before you purchase. I knnow we have plenty of stuff on here about the VMAXX and one is me, so don't blame anyone else.

PS- If you are bottoming out then you should adjust the settings. The lower you crank it down then the less bouncy it gets FYI.

ah, what what. I have these coilovers and when you crank the spindle up they become some what bouncy and yes you do bottom out. I crank the spindle down and let the spring extend and the bounciness seems to disapear and has a descent ride with out bottoming out.

DO research. This has been covered.
If you want a good, reasonbly priced coilover setup, Koni or Stasis(tuned Koni's) are probably your best bet. Otherwise Vogtlands aren't bad either from what I hear.

no sympathy. you didn't do your research. I just installed this set on damagedgood's car and he is extremely happy with the ride quality.

i will say you get what you pay for and it sounds like you didn't do your research. also, you should have gotten an alignment afterwards. the worn tires are your own fault.

    You suck.

Joining a forum pretty much just to bash a company is quite dim-witted. I ran V-Maxx's with no issues and thought, for the money, they were a decent setup.

well dude, first of all, u need to take some English classes, and second, the vmaxx is not H & R or kw variant or stasis, they gotta have some downside to them, being cheap, I personally don't know what they are like but yeah as other people said, you get what u pay for.

    good luck.

Because you just changed your entire suspension geometry! You're not just changing your springs, but the damper, the height, the rebound, the camber, probably your toe to a dicernable degree to create very uneven wear, etc....

Just shut up and take ownership for this being your fault for no properly installing and improper setup!

    Re: Don't Buy V-maxx Coilovers

I would comment but it would be pointless, anyone with any sense and is doing research would have stopped reading this thread at the first post, wow! way to go champ. I'm sure the guys from stratmosphere will not be rolling though your hood, you e-thug you.

I'll make a seperate thread with my personal experience and findings for those who are willing to do their research before buying this setup in the future. I'll take the time to cover all aspects like a mk4 owner did on VWVortex which was very helpful to me.

They are $649 for a reason, and I had my specific reasons for buying and installing mine. I'm happy with the product I got for the money I spent.

    Good day.
