Ok so before you tell me to search, I already did and most of the remedies do not apply here. My motor went out due to sludge in January so I replaced it with a fresh remanned long block, did not cheap out and had most of the oil lines hoses etc replaced. I had my car back for maybe 500 miles and the oil light started to come back on but only at low RPM's and would go off once I go over 3k rpm. I can also tell when it will come on, which sucks but normally its when I am going down hill or over speed bumps.
One of the things that did not get replaced was the oil cooler, which started leaking coolant. I had the oil cooler replaced this weekend and also the oil pressure sensor, the shop who did the motor swap adviced that this was the issue.. NO!!!! it still comes on.
It can't be sludge, the motor only has 8k miles, I replaced the oil pressure sensor, the connector looked ok.
The only thing that I can think of is maybe my oil weight? I've been using Mobil1 0w40 since the new motor was put in, the oil light has been coming on a lot more during the hotter weather and when I sit in traffic but not so much during the winter.
I'm stumped guys, any input would be much appreciated.
