Battery died now no keyless

My battery died and the car sat for a ago a week dead. Then once I put a new battery in the keyless entry no longer worked WTF! I dont know why it doesnt work please help!!

I think the key needs to re-marry. Did you start the car and drive around a bit?

turn the key to the on position and press and hold the un-lock button for 5-10 seconds and that should be it
