First I went and bought a fiberglass repair kit from autozone for like $14 bucks which is plenty of resin and fiberglass to do this.
I pulled the little cubby hole that came with the radio dash kit and put a cardboard false bottom in it about 1/4 inch from the lip.
I then mixed up some resin and hardener and poured a layer on top of the cardboard to make sure the rest of the layers stayed in place and the cardboard could soak up some of it as well.
It only take no more than 30 minutes to harden if mixed properly. Then I layed a sheet of fiberglass down and mixed another set of resin/hardner and spread the mix across the fiberglass until it fully soaked into the fiberglass. I also tucked the edged into the corners as much as possible to make sure it stuck to the sides.
Repeat the layering process until you get to the top. At the end I placed cardoard all around the outside of the cubby so I could give a thick top coat over everything so I could sand it down and paint it later.
After all the sanding was done I used a 2" hole saw made for concrete that doesn't have the jagged teath but looks like it has several sanding edges on it. Mine was made by Hitachi and got it at Lowes for $10 bucks. I had to use a dremel to widen the holes a little because the gauges are 2 1/16 in diameter.
So after you dremel it out and sand the top you can paint! So thats what i'm doing now.
