Anyone know a local locksmith that can cut Audi keys besides the Stealership? I'm thinking of getting a new key fob on ebay with a blank blade.

    Thanks

I think it depends on what year your car is (correct me if I'm wrong, anyone). I have a 98.5 A4 and I guess there is no chip in the key because I got one done for about $30 at a local locksmith here in Union City. It doesn't have keyless entry but still works fine as a spare.

As long as that locksmith can cut Audi (sidewinder, I think is what it's called) blade. What is the name of the locksmith in UC?

I forget the name of the locksmith and couldn't find it online, but its off of Decoto and Alvarado-Niles, in between the Dollar Tree and Safeway. They had keys there available, but I'm sure if you bring your own it will be cheaper.

forgot the name of the locksmith the dealer used for my valet key. it's in sf off of Geary blvd right off of the tunnel and maybe a block away from Family Billiards. Dealer gets their keys cut there.

I don't know where you are located but there is a Locksmith Company here in Palm Springs, called 24/7 Locksmiths. They cut my key about a Year ago. 45 bucks to cut. But You should be able to find a locksmith in your area. Just check the local listings in Yelp as ask them if they do it....
