I am sure this is just like the pepsi vs. coke, but i gotta ask 'cause it's my money. I have an '00 B5 1.8TQM with the techtonics catback exhaust. I have 93 octane here in ohio. My decision has narrowed down to either the Nuespeed or the APR chip upgrade. Which is better?

go with the nearest tuner in ur area, REVO also has a nice file.

Nope, my base map before custom tuning on their dyno was nothing short of spectacular. It was the method in which they tune and the knowledge they have for DBW. They are the ones who have been breaking the boundaries of the DBW cars and making them competitive with SEM setups, not GIAC, CTapp.

I hope your not serious about the Cam gear comment. Cams maybe may have made sense, but even then not so much.

1. F..K Neuspeed!
2. APR is decent.

3. Go with Unitronic or GIAC.

Personally, I have Unitronic. I cannot complain about my tune, especially for an "out of the box" flash load.

Uni or GIAC are typically the most agressive tunes.
BUT, If I were in you position, I'd go with whichever is the closest. That way you could drive there, and not have down time.

I recently bought 99 avant and eventually want to do a big turbo. wich chip would give me a good ko3 file and be able to be reflashed for a big turbo file?

I'm probably going with the Unitronic Stage 2 (93Oct) tune this weekend, my FMIC will be done, MBC soon, and the K03s is in the mail. That should get me by until I can do the "real" GT2860 install.
I'm still sticking with Unitronic. It doesn't matter what you have, who installed it, or your future goals, Unitronic will tune your car.
